I had previously owned a Coral Blue Vauxhall VX220 Turbo and discovered how badly paint on the front of this car became chipped after only a few 100 miles use. I recently exchanged this car for a new Ardent Red Lotus 111R which I stored over the winter. I wanted to keep the paint as intact as possible and had heard that some owners used a protective film to safeguard the paint. My son and I checked what products were currently on the market and looked at the VentureShield website. We enquired about this product and were quickly given full information about it and a quotation for the work by the local suppliers Covertech Midlands Limited. I opted for the full package which includes the lower front, bonnet, lower sides, locks and petrol filler cap areas. The work was completed during a sunny Saturday afternoon in April 2007. My Lotus had white body stripes which had been dealer fitted, but this did not cause problems for the two friendly Covertech fitters who did the installation at their premises in Stratford. After installation, both my son and I remarked that the 111R looked almost better than when I took delivery of the vehicle. The fitters explained what they had done and asked that I checked their work to my satisfaction. It was perfect, being difficult to detect, and allowing the colour of paint to show through as if the protective film did not exist. The car still looks perfect some 2 - 3 months after installation and no chipping has occurred on the areas which are otherwise vulnerable if not protected. I should mention that the Lotus is white in colour before painting and if chipped would show white areas - something to avoid. The guarantee was explained to me before I purchased the product and we were even given transport to and from the local town of Stratford whilst installation was done. This made the experience a pleasure rather than a task.
Everything went to plan and I am happy and satisfied – the job is excellent and the after sales service is very good.
I would just like take a few moments to write about my experience with Covertech the midlands dealer for Venture Shield. I had heard good reports about the product so I thought I’d use them to protect the paint on my new VX220. I went to meet them and had the product fitted and I opted to wait and kind of oversee the process as I was also interested to see how it was applied to the car. Andy and Ian cleaned the car perfectly before and did a very good job of applying the product and were both perfectionists in their work inspecting every detail of the product and ensuring a perfect fit of each pre-cut piece of film. I was very impressed with the whole process from booking the date for fitting the product right through to the finished article and the car has now been on 3 track days and the film is still doing the perfect job of protecting all the paint it covers so I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone to use Covertech for Venture Shield and if you get the same professional experience from Andy and Ian as I had then you’ll soon be recommending them to your friends. When you leave them your car you know you are leaving it in the best hands.
As I do a lot of my riding in groups stone chips are inevitable. My Busa looked like it had been attacked with a machine gun. When I bought my next bike GSXR 1000 K6 I contacted Covertech and had the Venture shield kit fitted, once fitted the tape is virtually invisible, 8000 miles later the front of the bike was still in very good condition and actually held the fairing together when i was knocked off. I was so impressed with the protection that I have fitted it to my new GSXR 750 K7.

As you know, the Covertech Midlands team recently completed the protection of my Ferrari F430 and I am writing to say how delighted I am with the work undertaken. Your team were efficient and completed the application of the VenturShield film so well, it was practically invisible. Having recently completed a long high speed trip to the Le Mans 24 hrs, and after many thousands of miles in not only my Ferrari F430 but my previous Ferrari 360F1, I am happy to provide testimony to the superb protection it has provided to both cars. Unfortunately, Ferrari paintwork is prone to chipping, but this is now no longer a problem and can confirm my current F430 is totally blemish free. The film remains fully intact and remains practically invisible to the naked eye.

Just a short note to say thank you for the efficient service once again. As you know this is the second car I have had protected by you. This time even the dealers were impressed with the quality of the protection and service compared to other cars they have seen. When I bought my immaculate used Ducati 1098 in January I decided I wanted to keep it that way. Having spoken to several people who had used Ventureshield and Covertech, I decided to go for it. From start to finish Covertech were excellent. My only concern had been would I be able to polish and clean the protected areas as I would an unprotected bike. No problem, and once on you forget it's there, but I know the bikes protected. I would recommend Ventureshield and Covertech to anyone.

I am completely satisfied with the job done by the team, they installed the complete kit with all the options in under a day. They dropped me off in Stratford and picked me up later after fitting had been completed. They are perfectionists and really seem to take time and care when fitting the kits. They seem to appreciate both cars and motorbikes and hence take their time to complete the job well. Thanks again for the fantastic job you did on my Elise last Wednesday, It looks superb and now its protected I can enjoy it properly! I left Stratstone Lotus your card, they were very impressed by Covertech as the only film they had seen before was the factory option which is in about 13 pieces, so when they saw the whole front in 3 they were very impressed. I took a couple of photos that really show how invisible the film is when done and thought you might like to see them.
The VentureShield kit looks superb on the HP2 Sport - it actually enhances the black carbon fibre to great effect. The kit has been extremely well templated - an immaculate fit for a wonderful motorcycle. It was so good of Iain to come to the house to do the fitting - I never actually want to get the HP2 wet with rain! Mild amusement all round when the neighbours saw me 'hoovering' the garage before Iain's visit!! Well, a job immaculately done and I am very, very pleased with it.
